Itinerary: 3 Days Tour from Errachidia to Marrakech

Day 1: Errachidia to Merzouga Desert through the Ziz Valley and Erfoud city

We will pick you up at the hotel or airport in Errachidia, a little village located just a few kilometers from the Sahara desert. We will cross the desert, particularly in Erg Chebbi. On the trip, we’ll witness the gorgeous Rocky Mountains, a group of palm trees, and environment, as well as little villages like Erfoud, which is famous for its fossil shops and other businesses offering traditional Saharan attire. After that, we’ll head to the desert. When we arrive, we’ll ride camels to watch the sunset and snap stunning photographs. In the evening, we will dine in our well-equipped tent before spending the night under the Sahara Desert’s stars.

Day 2 : Merzouga to Boumalne Dades via Todra Gorges and Dades Valley

Today we get up early to watch the amazing dawn, where the color of the dunes and the dance of shadows creates an unforgettable scene. Arrive to the hotel or riad for breakfast and a shower. We will proceed to Boumalne Dadès via Rissani, stopping at Erfoud, which is famed for its petrified marbles, to see the marble fossil manufacturing facility. Continue to the Todra gorges, which are ideal for solo walking and exploration. We travel to Dades Valley and check into the hotel/riad.

Day 3 : Boumalne Dades to Marrakech through Ait BenHaddou Kasbah & Atlas Mountains

Today is the last day of our three-day tour from Errachidia to Marrakech. We will travel to Marrakech via Kalaat M’Gouna, the valley of roses and palm trees in Skoura. Visit the Kasbah Taourirte and the Ouarzazate Film Studios (optional).

Then we’ll go to Ait Benhaddou to see its famed and oldest kasbah (designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986). Famous films have been made in this amazing site, including Gladiator, Obelix, the Mummy, the Jewel of the Nile, and Sahara with Penelope Cruz. Free time, etc. for lunch.

We continue our journey across the High Atlas highlands via Morocco’s highest road crossing, Tizi N’Tichka, which stands 2260 meters above sea level and offers breathtaking views of the rivers, High and Middle Atlas mountains, and several Berber communities along the way.
