En route to Chefchaouen, we will make a pit stop in Tetuan. Chefchaouen, with its enchanting, which leads us through the bustling alleys of its historic medina. We next go to Chefchaouen, which is noted for its beautiful blue and white architecture, before heading into the heart of Morocco. The itinerary includes visits to the Roman remains at Volubilis, the old city of Meknes, and Fes, a cultural treasure.

From there, we’ll travel through magnificent landscapes, stopping at the intriguing Todra Gorges and the Valley of Roses before arriving in the charming city of Ouarzazate. The road continues through Ait Ben Haddou, Marrakech, and the famed Casablanca, each with its own distinct beauty. Itinerary 12 days Desert tour from Tangier

Day 1: Arrival in Tangier

When you arrive in Tangier, you will be cordially welcomed. The day will begin with a tour of Tangier’s lovely city and old medina. Then we’ll go to the hotel for a delicious meal.

Day 2: Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen

Following a hearty breakfast, our 12 days Desert tour from Tangier to Chefchaouen begins. On the way to Chefchaouen, we’ll stop in Tetuan. Chefchaouen, with its stunning Andalusian architecture and famous blue and white buildings, greets us. Our evening will be spent in a lovely riad.

 

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Roman Ruins Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

Leaving the northern area behind, we go further into the heart of the country. We’ll travel through the Rif wilderness to visit the Roman remains of Volubilis and Meknes, a historic city that thrived under Sultan Moulay Ismail. Bab Mansour and Dar EL Maa El Granero will be among the places we explore. The day concludes at Fes, where we will stay the night.

Day 4: Fes – Visit Fes with Local Guide

Finally, in Fes, the cultural and ecclesiastical center, we begin our day with a magnificent breakfast. A guided trip will take us to prominent sites such as Madersas Cornices, Charrinha Bouinania, Attarin Souks, Fes El Jadid, and the Karaouine Mosque, which houses the world’s oldest university and is designated as a Universal Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Dinner and lodging will be in a riad.

Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Merzouga

After exploring Fes, we’ll head to Merzouga. We will proceed via Ifrane, Azrou, Tizi n’Talghamet, Errachidia, and the Erfoud palm plantation. The evening at Merzouga will include camel rides over the desert, with a breathtaking sunset view accompanied by Berber chants. An amazing night in a Khaima awaits, complete with supper beneath the stars.

Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate

After a delicious breakfast and a refreshing shower, we’ll head to Ouarzazate. Our first visit will be Rissani, where we’ll tour the bustling souk. We next go via the Jorf palm grove, Ksar Touroug, Tinjedad, Tinghir, the stunning Todra Gorges, the Boumalen Dades valley, Kelaa Me Gouna, and the Valley of Roses. Dinner and lodging will be at a Riad in Ouarzazate.

Day 7: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Telouet – Marrakech

We leave Ouarzazate and begin our trek to Marrakech. Along the route, we’ll visit the famed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Telouet Kasbah, and cross the spectacular Tizi n Tichka mountain, which stands at 2260 meters and offers panoramic views. Once we get in Marrakech, we’ll spend the night.

Day 8: Explore Marrakech

The entire day is dedicated to touring Marrakech. We’ll see its monuments and interesting locations, including the famed Jemaa el Fnaa plaza, which is a bustling hive of activity and storytelling. Marrakech’s beauty is largely ascribed to its riads, which offer a genuine experience that we’ll enjoy during our visit.

 

Day 9: Marrakech – Casablanca

On the ninth day of our Desert vacation from Tangier, we traveled to Casablanca, the fabled city on the Atlantic Ocean. We’ll tour the Corniche and the Hassan II Mosque, the world’s second biggest mosque. The evening will be spent at a hotel or riad.

Day 10: Casablanca – Rabat – Asilah

Moving from economic to administrative capital, we visit Rabat’s Royal Palace, Mohammed V Mausoleum, Hassan Tower, and Kasbah Oudaya. In the afternoon, we will continue on to Asilah, where we will have supper and stay.

Day 11: Asilah

After breakfast, we have a leisurely day to explore different activities, such as sightseeing, shopping, or just resting. We’ll spend the night in Asilah, either in a hotel or riad.

Day 12: Asilah – Tangier

As our 12-day Desert trip from Tangier comes to a conclusion, we’ll return to Tangier after breakfast, capping up a thorough and educational journey through Morocco.
