Itinerary for 3 days Fes to Marrakech

Day 1: Fez - Ifrane - Cedar Forest - Midelt – Ziz Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga

Our driving guide will greet you at your Fes accommodation around 7/8 am on the first day of our 3 Days Fes to Marrakech through Sahara desert trip and begin the journey over the Middle Atlas Mountains. We will make a halt at Ifrane, Morocco’s “Switzerland”. Afterwards we continue our journey to Midelt, the famous apple town where we will eat lunch, but first we will observe barbarian monkeys in the largest cedar forest near Azrou. Later in the afternoon, we’ll travel to the Sahara desert and the Tizi N’talghoumte pass (1907m), passing by amazing Berber towns and the panoramic view of Ziz Valley, which is densely forested with millions of palm trees.

Following that, we will arrive at Merzouga’s wonderful area of sand dunes (Erg-Chebbi), where you will begin your Camel Trekking Journey over the gorgeous distinctive orange colored sand dunes to desert camp. The perfect experience to nourish your spirit while watching the sunset from the center of the dunes. Dinner and nighttime will be at camp, music will be performed, and you may play in the sand dunes under a million stars.

Day 2: Merzouga – Arfoud - Todra valley - Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

On our second day from Fes to Marrakech via Sahara desert trip, it is best to get up early for a beautiful sunrise, then return by camel ride / or car to Merzouga hamlet and then to Rissani town. We will go through the area’s famed, traditional, and largest market, discovering the local-made items and art crafts. It is best to visit Rissani on one of the following days: Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday. These three days are souk, so they’re ideal for desert residents who want to go shopping. Next, we continue to Tinghir through the Tafilalt Oasis, where we can witness the old irrigation system discovered there.

We will arrive at Tinjdad town for lunch. Next, continue to Tinghir to see the breathtaking vistas of Todra Valley and walk along Todra Gorge with its orange towering cliffs; the gorges of Todra Gorge are about 1,000 feet deep, and it is a popular climbing destination. We’ll finish the day at Boumalne Dades, with its lush valley. Dinner and stay at a hotel or riad.

Day 3 : Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - High Atlas - Marrakech

We will proceed to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah after breakfast, via the Land of Flowers and the Road of Thousand Kasbahs. Following that, we will go to Ouarzazate, known as “the Hollywood of Africa,” where we will shoot the Kasbah Taourirte and visit a world-renowned film studio (Atlas studios). Afterwards we proceed to the next stop, the old Kasbah of Ait-Benhaddou. This fortified walled city, constructed directly on the caravan route between Marrakech and the Sahara, was a bustling commercial hub throughout the 17th century. Six Kasbahs and a few houses are housed within the thick mud walls. Ait Benhaddou has starred in films such as Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia.

Following visiting the Kasbah, we will take a break for lunch at a nearby restaurant. In the afternoon, we’ll continue our journey to Marrakech through the High Atlas Passes. We’ll stop along the way to take in the breathtaking vistas of the Atlas Mountains and the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260m). To arrive in Marrakech in the evening, we will drop you off at your hotel and conclude the 3 Days Fes to Marrakech via Sahara desert tour and our services.
