8 days tour from Casablanca to Marrakech itinerary:

Day 1: Casablanca » Rabat » Meknes » Fes

Our 8-day journey will begin with a pick-up from the airport or your place of lodging in Casablanca and travel past Hassan Mosque to Fes. After that, we go on to Rabat, the administrative center of Morocco, where we stop to see the Hassan Tower. Then, we travel on to Fes, where you will have supper and spend the night in a traditional Riad.

Day 2: Fes Sightseeing tour with a local guide

After breakfast, we will meet a local guide and spend the majority of the day touring the Medina (old part of the city), allowing you to see various historical sites including the Jewish neighborhood, Royal Palace, ancient souks… and tanneries.

Day 3: Fes » Azrou (Cedar forest) » Medilt » Ziz Valley » Merzouga Desert

We will continue our 8-day desert vacation from Casablanca by leaving around 8:00 am and traveling through Ifrane and the cedar forest of Azrou, which is home to wild monkeys. We also like watching the monkeys climb the trees.

Later, we continue to the Desert via the marble-fossil-rich Erfoud and Ziz valley. As a result, we travel to Merzouga via Rissani, a marketplace where numerous tribes congregate to trade items. We also reach dessert at this point.

Day 4: Tour around Erg Chebbi Dunes & Visit a Nomad family

The day will start with a seasonal lake in Merzouga and Khamlia, or traditional Gnawa music, before traveling to and touring the Erg Chebbi Dunes in Merzouga, where nomads are still in existence.

Later, we stop by some abandoned mines and a palm-tree-lined oasis. After returning to the guest house from exploring the desert on camelback inside sand dunes, we’ll have a local lunch.

Day 5: Merzouga » Rissani souk » Erfoud » Todra Gorges » Dades Valley

After capturing the sunrise on camera, we return to the hotel for breakfast and a shower. After that, we begin our journey to the Dades Valley, passing through Jorf, a town noted for its irrigation, and Erfoud, a region known for its marble fossils. We next proceed to Todra Gorges, which has one of Dades’ most magnificent canyons.

Day 6: Dades » Skoura Oasis » Kasbah Taourirt » Ouarzazate » Marrakech

After breakfast, we depart for Ouarzazate through mud-built Berber settlements before continuing on to Skoura, which is well-known for its palm trees.

We then travel on to Ouarzazate, dubbed the “Little Hollywood of Africa,” where we stop by Taourirt Kasbah, an ancient Kasbah, and the Atlas studio, which is situated in the city’s center. The well-known and well-preserved fortified kasbah in Morocco, Ait Ben Haddou, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987, is our next stop before continuing on to Marrakech.

Ait Ben Haddou served as the ideal backdrop for a number of well-known motion pictures, including “Lowrance of Arabia,” “Gladiator,” and “The Game of Thrones” series, among others.

In addition, you will take in the views of the high Atlas mountains and the Tizi N-Tichka pass as it snakes over its breathtaking cliffs before being dropped off at your accommodation when you arrive in Marrakech.

Day 7: Marrakech Sightseeing tour with a local guide

A full-day guided tour of Medina, the city’s historic district (also known as the Red City), will begin about 9:00 am.

You will view some of the best historical sites nearby Jemaa el Fna Square, El Koutoubia, Saidian Tombs, Menara… and Majorelle Garden on this sightseeing tour.
