Itinerary: Ouarzazate Desert tour to Fes

Day 1: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Roses valley – Dades Valley – Boumalne Dades – Tinghir City.

When our three-day desert tour departs from Ouarzazate to Fes, our driver-guide will come to your hotel and take you to the settlement of Ait Benhaddou. During the 17th century, this fortified walled city was a bustling commercial town and was situated directly on the caravan route connecting Marrakech to the Sahara. Six Kasbahs and a few dwellings are located inside the tall mud walls. Ait Benhaddou has acted in a number of motion pictures, such as Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator.

After having some time to explore the Kasbah, we will head back to Ouarzazate and make stops at Atlas Studios and Kasbah Taourirte. After that, we proceeded to Tinghir City by way of Rose Valley, Dades Valley, and the Skoura palm plantation. We will conclude our first day of the desert tour in the evening with supper in Tinghir City and an overnight stay in a hotel or riad.

Day 2: Todra Gorges - Tinjdad - Erfoud - Rissani - Erg - Chebbi Sand Dunes.

After a typical Moroccan breakfast, we will continue our three-day desert adventure from Ouarzazate to Fes by traveling from Tinghir to Merzouga. In Tinghir, we will visit Todra Gorge, which has orange towering cliffs and gorges that are about 1,000 feet deep. It is also a popular climbing destination. Then, take in the lush green vistas of Todra Valley, which are dotted with palm and almond trees.

In the afternoon, we continue our journey to the Sahara desert, passing through several Berber communities, including Tinjdad, Melaab, Erfoud, and Rissani. You’ll have time for lunch on the way. Once you reach to Erg-Chebbi’s sand dunes, you will begin your Camel Trekking Adventure across the gorgeous, distinctive orange-colored sand dunes to the desert camp. Spend unforgettable moments in an incredible location where you may nourish your spirit and watch the sunset from the center of the dunes. Dinner and overnight will be served at camp, music will be played, and you will be able to play on the sand dunes under the sky.

Day 3: Merzouga – Valley of Ziz – Middle Atlas Mountains – Midelt City – Forest of Cedar – Ifrane City – Fez

On the final day of your three-day excursion from Ouarzazate to Fes, we will wake you up early to experience a spectacular sunrise in the Sahara desert. After breakfast and a shower, you’ll ride a camel back to Merzouga and prepare for your next trip. Our journey will begin in Errachidia, continuing through Erfoud, Aoufous town, and the Valley of Ziz, where we will halt for a panoramic view. Then we’ll head to Midelt, stopping at Tizi N’talghoumte pass (1907) for lunch.

Finally, we go to Fes via the Middle Atlas Mountains and Cedar Forest at Azrou, where we may stop to visit the barbarian monkeys. We’ll also stop at Ifrane, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco,” before arriving in Fes in the evening and dropping you off at your hotel to conclude our three-day journey from Ouarzazate to Fes.
